Artist Trajectory
The materials that I have used for my sculptures have been clay, obsidian, marble, Lost-wax casting , el bronze, and most recently wood. The way I make my pieces besides playing with the clay to give it form, is by having a preconceived idea or drawing. The process is very important to me, how I arrive to the figure and what comes forth from me in the way.
My interest in sculpting with clay brought me to study in the workshops of sculptors that I admire a lot. My expositions have been collective until now, in the " Presidencia Municipal de PV y en el Museo Histórico Naval de PV, en la Galería Uno, Galería Arte Daría" and my first indivual exhibit was in Guadalajara's Country Club in Feb 2010.
For me art is about not knowing where I going. This intrigues me and makes me feel indignated. For me sculpting is a spiritual search, the sense, the meaning of everything is a journey that never ends. You pass by the same places but at different heights. Art is a human necessity. My life is filled with mistakes, that are like the round stepping stones for a good path that is underway.
